Psalmody

The continuous, systematic reading
and praying of the Psalms.

The Psalms have always been an essential ‘engine’ used by the Holy Spirit to sustain Christians in their discipleship and transformation.

Psalmody is the practice of continuously reading and praying the Psalms (whether saying or singing; whether alone or liturgically).

I have collected and edited an anthology of quotations on the importance and use of the Psalms: from Luther and Calvin; Bonhoeffer and Merton, etc. (This was a resource for  messages presented at Pilgrim Pines Conference Center: Psalmody: Experiencing Christ in the Psalms.)

You can download the Anthology in pdf form here.

Read past posts about the Psalms.
